Description

BMW M57N2 4 to 5 Bar MAP Sensor Upgrade Kit

Running more boost than your stock sensor can read? The factory 4 bar boost pressure sensor on the BMW M57N2 maxes out at 4 bar absolute, which is about 3 bar (43.5 psi) of boost at sea level. Push past that and the ECU can't see how much boost the engine is really making. That can mean limp mode, overboost faults and tuning that stops short of what your setup can do.

This upgrade kit swaps the factory sensor for a 5 bar unit. It reads up to 4 bar (58 psi) of boost, a full extra bar of headroom. Your tuner can safely target higher pressures with confidence.

Built for performance builds

  • Reads up to 5 bar absolute, roughly 4 bar or 58 psi of boost at sea level

  • Suits upgraded turbos, hybrid and twin-turbo setups, and aggressive remaps

  • Accurate readings let your tuner make full use of your hardware without running blind

  • Helps stop overboost faults and limp mode caused by a sensor that's maxed out

  • Ideal for M57N2 Nissan Patrol conversions, tow rigs and high-output street builds

Specifications

  • Engine: BMW M57N2

  • Sensor range: 5 bar absolute, about 4 bar / 58 psi boost (stock: 4 bar absolute, about 3 bar / 43.5 psi boost)

  • Signal: 0.5–4.5 V analogue output

  • Fitment: Direct replacement, factory-style plug and mounting

  • Construction: Automotive-grade housing with sealed connector

Important: tune required

A 5 bar sensor sends a different voltage curve than the stock unit. Your ECU has to be recalibrated to the new sensor scaling. If it isn't, boost readings will be wrong and the engine may run poorly. Have your tuner update the sensor calibration when it's installed.

NOTE : MAP sensor seal NOT included. You can find it here if you require one.

Instructions will be emailed after purchase.
