These can be found on the pasenger side of the Tie Rod arm (rear of Diff) on a GQ Patrol.
This is the style of female Tie rod ends that can be found on aftermarket arms to suit Nissan GQ and GU Nissan Patrols from Superior Engineering, Snake Racing, BBM and more.
Designed to be the heaviest and strongest Tie rod end on the market, they are a Greasable unit, and must be kept greased; Due to the Heavy duty components internally they rely on the grease.
To determine if you need to replace the Tie Rod end on your Nissan Patrol, have someone turn the steering wheel for you from side to side, It does not to be much, just enough to take up the load, Whilst they are doing this, And you are underneath, If you see or feel excessive movement you will need to replace them, Tie Rod ends are Roadworthy item.
When replacing, mark the original unit on the arm, measure from pin to pin, remove the worn Tie rod end, and replace with new one, thread it on to the mark you made, double check the measurement from pin to pin, Then install the arm, tighten the castle nut, ensure you replace the split pin.
If you are not totally comfortable with the measurement, it is recommended to get a professional Wheel alignment.
